Signing Thibaut Courtois is an opportunity which Real Madrid don't want to let escape them. However, Chelsea won't let him leave until they find a replacement.
After playing (and winning) their fourth friendly of the pre-season, Liverpool announced the signing of Alisson for close to 75 million euros on Wednesday. With Real Madrid having ruled themselves out of the running, the Roma and Brazil keeper was forced to find a new destination and after sounding out Chelsea and Liverpool, he decided on Jürgen Klopp's team
Landing Alisson was high on Roman Abramovich's list of priorities as it is looking increasingly difficult for Chelsea to hang on to Thibaut Courtois who has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid. Chelsea's technical department won't let the Belgian goalkeeper leave until they have found a replacement, first choice keeper, and as it stands it looks unlikely that Willy Caballero, the team's second choice keeper, will be drafted in to cover if Courtois moves on. The other dilemma facing Chelsea is that this year, the transfer market closes on 9 August, which means tijme is running out to bring in a replacement.
Out of the Champions League and with a new project underway, Chelsea could not only lose Courtois, but also Eden Hazard and possibly even N'Golo Kanté and under such circumstances, their bargaining power isn't what it was in the past.
Donnarumma
At 19 years of age, he is already a reference among Europe's top goalkeepers. He was close to signing for Real Madrid last season but in the end opted to renew his contract with AC Milan until 2021.
Donnarumma exploded onto the scene in 2015 and although last season was a discreet one by his standards, he remains the favourite to take over the reins from Buffon as Italy's first choice keeper. Still only a teenager but he has built up a wealth of experience with over a hundred appearances in Serie A under his belt.
Earlier this summer, Milan strengthened the goalkeeping position by bringing in Pepe Reina. Now 35, Reina is nearing the end of his career but continues to enjoy a good reputation in Italy and is more than capable of standing in for a season if Donnarumma were to leave. At the same time, the Rossonero are looking to sign a striker and any income generated by selling Donnarumma would go towards funding a move for Álvaro Morata.
Cech
The Czech keeper spent 11 years at Stamford Bridge and was one of the key figures in Chelsea's glory days. The fans still hold a soft spot for him and regard him as a club legend but at 36, he found himself unable to compete with Courtois.
His performances have continued to dip at Arsenal, who recently brought in Bernd Leno to bolster the goalkeeping slot. However, Cech could still be a viable option for Chelsea if they find themselves in a fix on deadline day.
Cech is under contract with Arsenal until 2019 but seeing as he is now in his twillight years as a player, Arsenal would not demand a big fee for him.
Schmeichel
Like Cech, he is a highly experienced keeper who knows the Premier League inside out and could fit into the starting XI straight away. He enjoyed an excellent World Cup and Chelsea have profitted from buying up some of the stars from Leicester's title-winning side (Kanté and Drinkwater).
Schmeichel contract with Leicester expires in 2021, but the Foxes don't seem to be too worried about letting their star players move on: they allowed Mahrez to leave this summer and today, signed 25-year-old Wales international Danny Ward from Liverpool. It would be a chance to land one of the Premier League's top goalkeepers although Schmeichel isn't quite as the same level as Leno, Lloris, De Gea, Ederson and Alisson, the keepers at Chelsea's direct rivals.

We all knew chelsea do not have a eye for talent when they let go of de bruyne, salah and lukaku. They have not learnt from their mistakes and they have not put THE GREATEST GOAL KEEPER OF ALL TIME LORD KARIUS. I speak for all chelsea fans and we dream of seeing karius in a chelsea shirt.
You're not a Chelsea man or you wouldn't ask for Karius. Are you even feeling fine?

With Jorginho in central midfield and Marcos Alonso at left back (couldn't find them), this may be a probable chelsea line up next season or Isco for Martial at left forward. BTW AF WHY ISN'T THE CHELSEA TEAM IMCLUDED IN THE OPTIONS AVAILABLE FOR LINEUP MANAGER? I'M PUZZLED. SUCH A BIG TEAM AS CHELSEA, BUT ARSENAL, MAN UTD , LIVERPOOL AND MAN CITY ARE INCLUDED. ADMIN PLEASE TAKE NOTE OR I MAY JUST UNINSTALL THIS APP. IT'S AN INSULT TO CHELSEA, SMH

Donnaruma cannot leave Ac Milan now.The club have been vindicated by CAS to play in Europa league and that is where Chelsea will play too.So, Donnaruma can shine in Europe by helping his club to win the Domestic league and Europa league. Chelsea squad is depleted at the moment. They need to get things right before the season begins. If Courtois,Hazard and Willian should leave,Chelsea will not find winning easy next season.

Schmeichel is the obvious choice. He cane make world-classclass saves but the only reason why he isn't impressive because he isnt exactly in the best club where he can get assistance from the defenders. He is definitely the number 1 choice right now!

I would go with Donnarumma as he is still very young and if closely coached and with a solid defense in front of him he can do much better than he has been doing. The other option would be schemchel for me.

Chelsea should go in for the Russian goalkeeper...simple...they shd buy big. and stop buying injury players all the time. Drinkwater, Ross, bakayoko, were all injured be4 Chelsea could buy. I understand why hazard wants to leave...no prospects. look at Liverpool signings ..precise and heeded.

I think donnurum is the better one coz of age he very young he can grow to become the best goalkeeper in the world plus italian advantage as the coaches are italian it wilb easy to buy into the philosophy..than having a quick fix whilst in the near future wiln looking again..50mil casper at 31 no way rather put a 30mil on top and go for oblak..please Chelsea board sell thibour and hazard we are tired of rumour s and willian also..we can invest in pulisic ansensio dembele..young talent who are hungry they behave like we are stranded for them..man u sold ronaldo..if they don't have a desire to put on a blue shirt sell them..we invest the money to other options..

I think Donnaruma is not ready to be a first choice for a team like Chelsea who will be demanding so much this season Last season GG Dona made some really silly mistakes which shows he is not ready to be a regular starter for a team in PL What I mean is look at Karuis he is gonna be the same like him or even the younger De Gea of United Donnaruma still have a lot to learn and gain more experience
