Gianluigi Donnarumma is open to extending his contract with Milan, claim Tuttosport, but not if it means taking a pay cut.

The goalkeeper will be a free agent in June 2021 and the struggles to qualify for Europe mean belts continue to be tightened at San Siro.

Clubs such as Juventus, Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in snapping up Italy international Donnarumma.

Despite the difficulties within the club, Tuttosport claim Donnarumma is eager to remain at Milan and open to signing a new contract extension.

However, he would want to at least maintain the €6m per year net salary that was agreed in July 2017.

That is beyond the salary cap that owners Elliott Management want to introduce, so agent Mino Raiola needs to thrash out some sort of compromise.

The shot-stopper is still only 21 years old and came up through the Milan youth academy, given his big break at the age of 16 by Sinisa Mihajlovic.
