Borussia Dortmund had hoped to get their revenge on Ajax when they hosted the Dutch side just two weeks after their humiliating 4-0 loss.

Dortmund got off to a good start thanks to a goal from Marco Reus. However, things quickly changed for the German's after Mat Hummels was shown a straight red card.

Ajax got back into the game and scored an equaliser in the 72nd minute of the game, before Sebastien Haller and Davy Klaassen scored late winners to see the game end 3-1.
