Dortmund 2-2 Bremen: Fullkrug's last-gasp goal nails Dortmund's hope for victory

Game is over and the final score is Dortmund 2-2 Bremen. Here is the match report.

Match Report:

Borussia Dortmund were leading Werder Bremen by two goals in the 87th minute, but their opponents fought back to draw 2–2 at Signal Iduna Park this Friday (9).

There was even a goal against his former club from a striker who is FLYING this season. Four goals were scored in the space of 12 minutes. All from the 80th minute onwards.

The result ended BVB's perfect record in the Bundesliga, and gave Bayern and Freiburg something to celebrate, too.

Nico Kovac's side were in complete control from the first half, but they lacked the finishing touch before the break.

The pressure intensified in the second half. Guirassy's determination—with Fábio Silva missing his kick along the way—led to Svensson's acrobatic goal (80').

Dortmund added a second in the 85th minute through Schlotterbeck following a corner.

Victory all but secured, right? Not at all!

Bravery rewarded. Werder managed to respond shortly after conceding the second. Schlotterbeck's attempted pass was intercepted. And Ludovit Reis pulled one back in the 88th minute.

Back once again at the club where he came through the ranks, Füllkrug would make the difference. A free kick, and he scored the equalizer in the 92nd minute.

His fourth consecutive game on the scoresheet. He now has five goals in six games, including the DFB Pokal.

And he came back to haunt his former club, having played for Dortmund in 2023/2024.

On Bundesliga standings, Dortmund led with 13 points+1 more game ahead of Bayern and Freiburg (both on ten) which could now draw level with them.

Bremen, meanwhile, reached 8 points. They currently sit 4th.
