It’s sad that no one gave the bundesliga any attention. It was always just like” Bayern win again!” But now that there’s an English superstar in the league, everyone cares about. English football is pathetic

Good on the lad! His move to Dortmund may have saved the next generation of English football. Because of his success and exposure a lot more youngsters are willing to try their hand playing abroad, and this was never the case in previous years, the fact that many other youngsters are moving abroad to play now can only have a positive effect on future England squads.

If Chelsea should sign just one player from the Bundesliga next summer, I would choose Kai Havertz over and over again. # He is super talented

He signed a longer contract last season (under 18s can only sign certain lengths) which tripled his wages to €3m.

They did something similar for Lewandowski the season before he left for Bayern, after he made it clear he wanted to leave and would do so on a free. Although in his case I think he got 3x IIRC.

Is Sancho not established? He played practically every game for Dortmund last season and will again this season. He also you know, just had his salary doubled. Agreed on the others though.

He is still up and coming, that was his first season. Compared to kane, sterling and the rest, they have like 7-8 seasons on their belts. Furthermore, part of what makes sancho a talent is the fact he is young. You really can't say kane is a talent at 26.

With a contract extension we most likely would double it again and add a little more.

I have no idea why it's such a struggle for him to understand what's being said. Willful ignorance is the only explanation I can think of without throwing accusations of trolling or simple mindedness.

I mean 115k a week is ~6m a year which is 14% of 41M. It's still a decent amount.

Not just that, but it sends a message to other prospects that Dortmund is a place they can come, play, win, and be treated well. It's recruiting as well as direct reward.

OP phrased it as a one time gift of 115k, not per week.

But can your mom and dad do what he does? I don't think so. Go blame the government not the thousands of footballers who themselves have worked so hard and are also very talented. You have to understand good athletes like this aren't common. It's not a whole continent of them is getting paid like this. Football finance is small compared to actual gdp's of countries

They doubled his salary so he either, stays another year, or cooperates (don't pull a Dembele during transfer negotiations.

Dortmund are a selling club, just give them money, they can even sell their board of directors. [Crylaugh]. Jokes apart, Imagine a team with *Mickhytahryan *Pulisic *Dembele *Aubameyang *Lewandowski *Hummels ETC.
