Ebere Eze has described his first goal for Arsenal as a special moment as he helped Gunners defeat Port Vale 2-0 in the Carabao Cup.
The number 10 linked up with Myles Lewis-Skelly before driving his effort home. Leandro Trossard doubled our lead late on to set up a clash with Brighton in the next round.
After netting his maiden goal, Ebere gave his take on the strike at Vale Park: "It's a special day to get my first goal and to win. It's important to get through to the next round; that was the main thing. But it's a special day for me.
"I just somehow found a space inside the box. So I knew that I didn't have time to take many touches. So I was just looking to get a shot off; that was the main thing. Fortunate, and a lot of hard work behind it, but it's a good day."
Eze was one of four players to have played in Arsenal academy who started tonight at Vale Park, alongside Bukayo Saka, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri.
Following the victory, the England international praised the team for getting through to the next round, where they'll take on Seagulls at Emirates Stadium next month.
He said: "Coming to a place like this, away from home, in difficult circumstances, but finding a way to win, that's the most important thing. You take it into the next one.È
On how important the 3,000 travelling supporters were to Arsenal victory, Eze added: "It [means] everything, they know what they mean to us. So as long as we have that type of support and backing, we'll keep going, we'll keep pushing for them."

happy for eberechi eze and also praying for gyokeres to succeed in scoring goals for the team and to win trophies. all our players should learn how to get the ball in the box for gyokeres. arteta should stop the habit of benching players in favor of his favorites more especially the Spanish players.
