In the fifth round of the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich drew 2-2 with Augsburg away from home. Neuer made a critical error, conceding a goal just 8 seconds into the match, setting a new Bundesliga record for the fastest goal conceded. After the match, Bayern director Eberl emphasized that Neuer remains the team's number one goalkeeper.

Eberl stated, "There's no reason to question anything simply because Neuer made a mistake. Ulreich has improved rapidly, and Neuer played a crucial role in that. He is still our number one goalkeeper."

"While we don't want to overstate it, it's truly remarkable that even with a world-class goalkeeper like Neuer, we can still develop Ulreich. Now Ulreich not only maintains his current position but also continues to gain experience and has performed excellently in national team appearances. This overall situation is extraordinary. So far, our original plan is proceeding smoothly."
