Emery coached Neymar when he was at PSG. The Spanish coach received an interview with Cadena SER and talked about his departure from Arsenal and the story about Neymar.
“We all hear a lot about Neymar going back to Barcelona. I was also involved in convincing him to come to PSG. Now that I'm in Spain, I think Neymar has to come back,” Emery explained.
He also explained why the Brazilian striker left Barca. “Neymar came to PSG as he wants to be like what Messi is in Barcelona”, commented the former coach.
“I think the best teams are in Spain and the best players have to be in the best teams. He is 27 years old and is at the right time to be the best player in the world.”
“The best player I've ever had? Neymar without a doubt,” Emery said.
