Both Everton and Manchester City showed their support for Ukraine in the build-up to their Saturday evening duel in the Premier League, with both sets of players coming out with yellow and blue colours.
In the case of Manchester City, they wore t-shirts in support of their teammate Oleksandr Zinchenko and his home country. Everton, meanwhile, supported Vitaliy Mykolenko by wearing flags of the country that has been invaded by Russia.
During the warm-ups, Zinchenko and Mykolenko spotted each other and shared a very emotional and tearful hug.
There have been other anti-war messages in the Premier League this Saturday, such as at Manchester United ahead of their draw with Watford.
