England will get their World Cup campaign up and running on Monday when they take on Iran in the opening game of Group B.

Gareth Southgate's side will be looking for a key three points to get started with potentially tricky fixtures against the United States and Wales to come.

Iran though will be no minnows as they go into the World Cup ranked 20th in the world and have the ability to cause the Three Lions problems.

Where is England vs Iran being played?

England's clash with Iran will take place at the Khalifa International Stadium - which is located in Al Rayyan, just to the west of Doha.

The Khalifa International Stadium has a capacity of around 45,000, divided over three tiers. The venue - which was built in 1976 was initially renovated in 2005, before undergoing another revamp between 2014 and 2017.

The stadium will hold several group stage matches as well as one last-16 tie and the third-place play-off.

Phil Foden is in line to start for England in a 3-4-3 formation that Gareth Southgate is set to favour at this tournament.

The Three Lions could be without James Maddison though who missed training again on Friday.
