Enrique: It's the best moment when other teams' fans enjoy watching us play

After leading Paris Saint-Germain to two consecutive Champions League titles, Enrique accepted an interview with CBS Sports.

Luis Enrique, coach, welcome. Congratulations. Unbelievable. Well done. Very happy for you. Does this feel even better than a year ago?

Of course. Of course. Unbelievable. I was talking to my assistant coach Rafael Pol, and I asked him, do you think we will win again? And that's what happened. I think when you put all your energy into it, and you try to give your players and your team the best energy you can, well, the result doesn't really matter. I think both of our teams deserved to win this trophy. But if I look back at the whole season, I think we were slightly ahead because we went through a lot of suffering in our matches. We played against the top teams in Europe, and we deserved to win this trophy.

Henry: I want to ask you, first and foremost, congratulations again. I want to ask you a question. How difficult was it against Arsenal, because I saw you at one point trying to make some adjustments, bringing on Doué to try to play in the space behind Saka, trying to create an overload advantage in that 4-2-4 formation. I know it's difficult, but Arsenal forced you to make many detailed changes to beat them.

When you play against a team like Arsenal, they try to defend in the best possible way. They were lucky because they scored through that attack. It was difficult for us, and after that, they defended very well, dropping deep. It was hard to beat them. We tried to organize more attacks through the wings, but because of the energy state of the players when they were behind, they couldn't be very focused, so it was very difficult at that time. But I think we improved in the second half. We created more or less enough scoring chances after scoring the penalty. The game became more balanced, and I think we deserved to win this match.

Henry: When you first arrived, you said, after Mbappé left, I don't want to talk about what happened, but you said at the time that we would get better, we would become a whole, and we would win as a team. You not only said it, you did it, and you did it again. And I like the fact that I was just saying that people sometimes confuse arrogance with confidence. You know very well what level your team can reach when they need to be here. But I have to say it's a simple idea. You just need to enjoy yourselves on the pitch.
