Enrique delighted as PSG thump Atalanta to open Champions League title defence

PSG coach Luis Enrique was left delighted with their victory over Atalanta on Wednesday night.

PSG opened up their Champions League defence with a resounding result through goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Marquinhos, Goncalo Ramos and Nuno Mendes.

Enrique said afterwards, "I think it's a very good start and that partly reflects our style of play against an excellent Atalanta, a physically strong and technically good team that presses you and bothers you. But I think we're doing very well and deserved this win.

"It's true that our schedule is a journey full of ups and downs, with many challenges, with many obstacles. But it's true that if we go back a year, our match against Girona ended 0-0 in the 92nd minute, I think we were much superior today.

"We all know the importance of being healthy, and the victory was evident."
