the incubation period of this virus is way too long, it takes minimum 10 to 12 or even more to show symptoms. so if a person gets infected he/she will take 12 days or more to actually realize the person is infected. within these 10 to 12 days a person feels very fine but actually is infected passes on to another person unknowingly. and this virus can a life span of 12 to 18 hours, if a infected person touched things like doorknobs, handles, cutlery, or any surface than there are very high chances that another person will get infected when he touches these surfaces within 12 to 18 hrs.
I completely agree. There has to be a total lockdown for an extended period for it to stop. So if persons are locked down with family, within that family they can monitor each and if someone gets it likely others there has it. Then they handle it accordingly. With persons still going to work and out it will continue to spread.
