Fans can't keep count as Bernardo Silva keeps nutmegging Bayern Munich players

Manchester City's midfield magician Bernardo Silva had fans in disbelief as he relentlessly nutmegged Bayern Munich players in their 3-0 win.

Silva grabbed a goal and an assist in a stellar solo and team performance, with City building a solid advantage in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final. It was a sequence of play involving him and the Bayern defence which most impressed fans, though.

With the score at 1-0 in the 60th minute, he danced his way through the backline, nutmegging Alphonso Davies and Leon Goretzka in quick succession. Davies then looked to have won the ball back - but Silva proceeded to megs him twice more.

The Portugal international was widely hailed on Twitter. One viewer commented: "What a player." A second argued: "This is insane."

"This would've been up there for goal of the season had it gone in, just the trickery alone," claimed a third. A fourth wrote: "Wait did he just nutmeg three man in one move?????? Nah this guy is crazy."

But others pointed out to them, and the BT Sport admin who had also seen three, that: "There's actually four. Mental."

One joked: "He could megs a mermaid." And another brutally told Davies: "Clip it for your YouTube."

Fans weren't the only ones watching on in awe of Silva, with his boss Pep Guardiola singing his praises after the match.

“Bernardo is a football player,” Guardiola told the club website. “What does it mean? He will play everywhere, every position, even left back.

"Everywhere because he understands the game in every action Bernardo has the ability to read the game. He is one of the best players I ever trained in my life. Ever. He is something special, a special football player."
