According to Stats Foot, Ferran Torres thus became the first substitute player to score in a FIFA World Cup final since Gotze in 2014.
Coincidentally, in the 2014 FIFA World Cup final, Gotze also scored against Argentina, and that goal also occurred in extra time (113th minute), with Germany ultimately defeating Argentina 1-0 to win the championship.

Spain deservedly winners. But can anyone explain the 40' minutes half time show! FIFA, rules are for a 15' minute break! Football has gone from two 45' minute half's to four quarters and a 40' minute half time break "including a super bowl style half time show" FIFA please stay true to the rules!!
