Florian Wirtz has been named 2023/24 Bundesliga Player of the Season.
The nominees for the POTS award were the players who were voted Player of the Month during the season: Wirtz, Guirassy, Undav, Grimaldo and Boniface, who was also named Rookie of the season. For the first time since the vote was introduced in 2018, no Bayern player was voted Player of the Month, and therefore none was nominated for Player of the Season.

Xhaka deserves this award more than any other players
it is true that Granit Xhaka was mentioned ten times more often by all football news than Wirtz but that is because Wirtz has never played in England and all football news only promotes people who have played in the Premier League or are English. Germans are non-existent for them. you should watch the games yourself and form your own opinion. I have seen every game of Leverkusen this season and Florian Wirtz was definitely the key player. everyone else in the Leverkusen team was also fantastic but did not have the exceptional skills that Wirtz has.
