Football’s most cringey adverts

THEY are often accused of hamming it up on the football pitch.

But the game’s top stars can be just as bad off it – you only need to look at former Man United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel, who dressed up as a butcher and played an accordion to advertise Danish bacon.

And he is not the only ace with a side hustle in cringey commercials.
