Tottenham transfer news: Gary Neville has weighed in on the Harry Kane transfer saga and brought a wild Manchester United option onto the table
Gary Neville has made a massive prediction over what is next to come for Harry Kane after Tottenham continue to knock back Bayern Munich's bids.
When asked about Kane, someone who Neville has been a big advocate for and has worked with during time at England, he launched into a wild transfer theory, being supported partially by Jamie Carragher. Speaking on The Overlap, Neville claimed that Manchester United are still in the mix for the 30-year-old.
When asked why Erik ten Hag's men hadn't gone for Kane already, with one fan saying that he 'bottled a move' and would not say he wanted to leave Spurs, Neville responded. "I disagree with that, he tried that on The Overlap two years ago and it didn't work out that well for him," the pundit explained.
Neville added: "I think this time he's probably doing it a little bit different but behind the scenes."
Carragher replied: "You [Manchester United] haven't gone for him because you can't deal with Daniel Levy like Bayern Munich are now. Man United that need a centre forward can't be going to the last minute of the window and then don't get him and be left with nothing."
The back-and-forth continued, with Neville responding to Carragher:
GN: "I'm hoping that watching what's happening, seeing that an £86million deal might get agreed with Bayern Munich and Kane goes 'I ain't going.' I might be wrong here, I don't have any contact with Harry Kane whatsoever, I'll be stunned if he goes to Bayern Munich."
"If he doesn't want to break that Premier League all-time scoring record, I'll be absolutely stunned if he goes to Bayern Munich. They're a huge club by the way, I just don't see that."
Presenter: "What about the record?"
JC: It's massive for him. People keep talking about Harry Kane and trophies, what if he goes to Bayern Munich and wins the Bundesliga, who cares? He won't!
"I saw an interview with Alan Shearer the other day, I thought this anyway, but he got asked [if he would rather be] Premier League record goalscorer or [win] the Premier League with Blackburn and he just said 'my job is to score goals. And that was he answer.
"I don't care what you say, the three greatest goalscorers in the last 30, 40 years, [Gary] Lineker hardly won a trophy, Shearer hardly won anything. Harry Kane has not won a trophy. Why are we all desperate for him to go. He's one of the best players we've ever seen in the league, why do we want him to go?
"Stay at Tottenham and if you can go on a free to United or City or wherever you can go, do that."
GN: "Coming back to it, at United, I hope they're being clever and that Kane is being clever, waiting to get a deal whereby they [Tottenham] agree it with Munich, he [Kane] says 'no I'm not going' and I want to go to United.
"United need Harry Kane, right. They have the young lad [Rasmus Hojlund] as well. They'll bed him in, let him play his 25-30 games because he didn't play every game for Atalanta last season. I'm worried that we've got this kid up front who has got massive pressure on his shoulders.
"Everyone is going to be watching him, he needs that pressure taken off him a little bit and Kane puts United into the realms of catching Arsenal and City. That's what I think he does for Manchester United."
Presenter: "Are United really likely to be clever given what they've done in the past?"
GN: "If that's someone that they're going for in the future and think that that's going to be the next big thing, fair enough but they need someone right here, right now.
"Absolutely [Kane puts United in a title race], I've said this for three years."
JC: "Harry Kane, [Jadon] Sancho, [Raphael] Varane equals the title doesn't it?"
GN: "Honestly, Kane puts Manchester United right in there with City and Arsenal."
Presenter: "We're hearing that Tottenham have just rejected the latest offer."
GN: "Do you know why they rejected it? Because they know he's not going to go. I swear to you, Daniel Levy is sat there thinking, 'Harry Kane wants them to believe that he'll accept that money.' They'll accept the 100 million euros and Kane says, 'I don't want to go there, but I'll go there.'
"Levy is definitely thinking that Kane is not going to go to Munich otherwise he'd accept it."

This all sounds too clever by far. This is United, since Fergie retired we always get skinned in deals and everything leaks. This is pure fantasy

United have spent so much already and I dnt see them spending so much again cos what is the need of spending so much when you could have negotiated this deal. Kane will do so well with united but I think united have moved on

I Will Be Absolutely Stunned If United Manage To Sign Kane On The 11th Hour. Most Likely Kane Will See Out His Contract With Spurs And Join United The Following Season As A Free Agent.

i always say if Harry Kane go to bayron and win a trophy it will be very low on volues, because bayron always winning torphies but if he stay in the epl and becomè the epl gŕeat goalscores thats record that can last for many many years. The way to achive that record is to stay put at Tottenham Hotspurs.
