Miguel Galán believes that this precedent "proves that if a release clause is too unbalanced and restricts professional freedom, social courts can judicially review it." Galán, a Spanish sports law expert and president of CENAFE, stated on social media: "Everyone can draw their own conclusions."

He stated: "Julian's release clause is fundamentally invalid due to the excessive disparity between the amount, salary, and market value, constituting a circumvention of the law.
