Former Man City and Barcelona striker Aguero welcomes baby daughter

Sergio Aguero and his girlfriend Sofi Calzetti have welcomed their first child, becoming parents to a baby girl named Olivia.

It is Aguero's second child with the legendary striker already having a 15-year-old son called Benjamin from a previous relationship with Diego Maradona's daughter.

The 36-year-old and his model partner Calzetti announced they were expecting in a touching social media post back in March.

And they took to Instagram on Friday night to reveal that their little girl has now been born.

In a joint post on Instagram, they wrote: 'September 13, 2024. Welcome Olivia! We can't express in words so much happiness.'

The likes of David de Gea, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Patrick Kluivert were quick to congratulate the pair on their great news, as was Salt Bae.

Benjamin Aguero also shared some heartwarming photos of his father holding his tiny daughter.

Benjamin is the grandson of Argentinian great Maradona, his dad having previously been in a relationship with Gianinna Maradona.

His godfather is also Lionel Messi and he has hopes of following in the footsteps of his family, currently playing at youth level for Independiente.

His father was forced to retire from football in 2021 at the age of 33 due to heart problems.

Aguero is considered one of the best strikers in Premier League history, scoring 184 goals in the top flight and winning the title on five occasions.
