While Manchester United were preparing for their first match under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Jose Mourinho was back at his hometown club almost 1000 miles away.
Mourinho was axed as United manager on Tuesday following a calamitous run of results which had seen them fall 19 points adrift of league leaders Liverpool.
Solskjaer was swiftly appointed until the end of the season and on Saturday evening claimed his first win in a 5-1 demolition of Cardiff.
Mourinho, however, was back at Bonfim Stadium in Setubal to watch Vitoria de Setubal lose 2-0 to Santa Clara.
It is quite the change of scenery from last weekend, when a chastening defeat by Liverpool spelt the end of his reign at Old Trafford.
The 55-year-old, who hails from Setubal was warmly welcomed by the home crowd as he took in the Primeira Liga clash under the Portuguese sunshine.

I like J. Morinho but sometimes I don’t get his aggression n his attitude, I admire his tactics as a manager but don’t I like sometimes some of his comments that he made it in the past, I remember few years back when he succeeded managerial position from pellegrini in Real Madrid the comment that he mad “ I wouldn’t manage such a team if I were him” referring Pellgrini after he was sucked from Real Madrid and Pellegrini accepted managerial position in Mallaga. And the wear thing was that Pellegrini had no quarrel or beef with Mourinho, I was stunned. Mourinho and controversial are inseparable; nevertheless, he’s one of the best manager.
