A former Manchester United star has signed a one-year contract to play for his hometown club.
The 37-year-old was a free agent after leaving Turkey in May, but he has now joined the 10th club of his glittering career.
The move was confirmed on Wednesday, as his new club expressed their delight at securing his signature.
Portuguese outfit Estrela Amadora announced: 'Luis Nani has gone back to his roots. The Portuguese international returns to Portugal to play for Estrela da Amadora on a one-year contract.
'The footballer will once again play in the Portuguese league, in the city of Amadora - a city that is particularly special to him.
'It is where he grew up, and where his footballing adventure began. A city that saw a boy become a man and an elite athlete, who won virtually everything in the world of football.
'He made the city proud of his progress as a player, and above all as a person.
'Everything he has done for the city, showing solidarity and social responsibility, now culminates with him joining Estrela da Amadora.'
Nani joined United in 2007 from Sporting Lisbon and went on to spend eight years at Old Trafford. During this time he won four Premier League titles, two League Cups, the Champions League and the Club World Cup.
After leaving United in 2015, he had spells at Fenerbahce, Valencia and Lazio before moving to the US to play for Orlando City.
A return to Italy followed as he joined Venezia prior to transfers to Melbourne Victory and Adana Demirspor.
He departed Demirspor at the end of last season, and is now back in his homeland to play for Estrela, who finished 14th in Portugal's top division in 2023-24.
Nani also owns fourth division side SU Sintrense - a team based near Amadora - after buying the club last month.
