Mary Fowler has signed a new contract with Manchester City, extending her stay at the club to June 2027.

The Australian joined City in 2022 from Montpellier, with her current deal due to run out next year, but she will stay in Manchester for an extra season.

Fowler is currently recuperating from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury that she suffered in April and is due to be out for the rest of the year.

"City has felt like home for me for quite a while now, so to continue this journey with them, I'm really proud to do that," Fowler told the club's official website.

"Enjoying my football is a big part of me playing well, and City has created an environment where I can flourish."

Fowler was a key figure for City last season before suffering her injury and finished the campaign with the joint-most goal involvements in the squad (13 – six goals, seven assists).

Only Lauren Hemp (eight) registered more assists than Fowler, with the England international also the only player to create more chances (35) than her 30.

On average, she came up with a goal contribution every 86 minutes in the Women's Super League in 2024-25.
