Match Report:
Manchester United forward Amad scored a late winner to give Ivory Coast a shock 2-1 victory over a much-changed France in their World Cup warmup match in Nantes.
Manchester City playmaker Rayan Cherki had fired France ahead just before halftime.
After Les Bleus boss Didier Deschamps made sweeping changes for the second half, French-born Guela Doué soon got the Elephants back on level terms before substitute Amad then completed the comeback with six minutes left.
France -- set to open their World Cup campaign against against Senegal in New Jersey on June 16 -- made a positive start as Michael Olise found Kylian Mbappé on the left side of the area and his low shot was parried away by Ivory Coast goalkeeper Yahia Fofana.
Ivory Coast, who were undefeated in their 10 World Cup qualifiers without conceding a goal, continued to sit deep as Adrien Rabiot sent a long-range effort just over and Olise saw his angled shot saved ahead of the mid-half water break.
Les Elephants, set to face Germany in Group E as they return to the finals for the first time since 2014, eventually came to life when Sunderland forward Simon Adingra headed over from a corner.
Adingra, who spent the second part of last season on loan at Monaco -- then caught out France midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni to race clear into the penalty area, but his low shot was tipped away by Mike Maignan.
France eventually broke the deadlock in stoppage time at the end of the first half.
Cherki's initial shot from outside the area had been saved, but the Manchester City playmaker then picked up the ball up again on the right side of the penalty area and showed a smart step-over before drilling a low effort past Fofana into the far corner.
Deschamps made the expected changes for the second half with five substitutions, including Mbappé being replaced by Crystal Palace frontman Jean-Philippe Mateta and Aston Villa defender Lucas Digne sent on for Theo Hernández.
However, Ivory Coast were back on level terms in the 53rd minute.
Nicolas Pépé sent a through ball behind the France defence for advancing right-back Doué -- brother of France winger Desire -- to latch on to down the centre and then clip a right-footed shot past Maignan.
France, who next face Northern Ireland in Lille on Monday, looked to respond as Mateta found Marcus Thuram on the left side and he cut inside to fire just wide of the far post.
After more changes by Deschamps, Ivory Coast got a late winner when Doué floated in a cross from the right, which Amad met first time to sweep the ball into the far corner.

if you watch the game and see how Ivory Coast score the first goal, then you will understand the reason why I refused to celebrate the signing of konate by real Madrid, that guy is a calamity on 1v1 situation, his error always leads to goal, konate adds nothing to real Madrid defense, just a number. God abeg we need proper defenders not this calamity.
