In their final preparations before UEFA EURO 2024, France will be hoping to stick to winning ways as they play hosts to Canada on Sunday evening. Les Bleus’ pre-tournament preparations got off to the desired start after a comprehensive 3-0 victory against Luxembourg in their first friendly.

L’Équipe report that Didier Deschamps could be set to make only one change ahead of the match against Canada. Mike Maignan should keep his place between the sticks after a clean sheet last time out and it could be a potentially unchanged defence in front of him. The only potential change could be William Saliba for Dayot Upamecano but this is not yet decided.

The midfield should also remain the same with Aurélien Tchouameni ruled out of the match after missing the end of the season for Real Madrid through injury. Rabiot also struggles with muscle fatigue so is also expected to miss out. This should see N’Golo Kanté, Youssouf Fofana and Antoine Griezmann line up in midfield. Eduardo Camavinga could also get minutes.

In attack, the only expected change is Ousmane Dembélé replacing his PSG teammate Randal Kolo Muani on the right flank. Kylian Mbappé and Marcus Thuram are expected to keep their starting spots.

Mike Maignan – Jules Koundé, Ibrahim Konaté, Dayot Upamecano, Théo Hernandez – N’Golo Kanté, Youssouf Fofana, Antoine Griezzman – Ousmane Dembélé, Marcus Thuram, Kylain Mbappé.
