Fulham 'make sensational move for Pique' as Koeman plans overhaul of squad

Fulham have reportedly made a stunning move for Barcelona defender Gerard Pique.

The centre-half was distraught after the Spanish giants were thrashed 8-2 by Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals.

Afterwards the 33-year-old that the team have hit 'rock bottom' and then offered to leave the club if they wanted to rebuild.

Quique Setien was sacked following the humiliating defeat and replaced by former Everton boss Ronald Koeman.

And according to Peruvian website Libero, Fulham decided to make move for Pique, who came through the youth ranks of Manchester United before leaving for Barcelona in 2008.

But now, at the age of 33, the £220,000-a-week defender could be ready for a return to the Premier League.

Libero reports that there is 'an offer on the table' from Scott Parker's Premier League new-boys.
