Fulham manager Marco Silva underlined the importance of Bobby Decordova-Reid's versatility after another impressive performance in Thursday night's west London derby victory against Chelsea.

He has shown how versatile he can be for Fulham, taking up multiple different positions on the pitch, and has impressed at Premier League level.

Silva said: 'Bobby is a really good example. Even to change something in the games, to prepare the games as well if you have a certain number of players on the pitch who can help me to take different decisions during the game.

'Bobby already for me has played in three of four different positions. Even against Chelsea, he was our plan B to play as a striker.'

Decordova-Reid has four goals and an assist in 18 league appearances for Fulham this season. He's also picked up six yellow cards, which saw him suspended for Fulham's defeat against Manchester City in November, after picking up his fifth.

'He had a tough night, the day before the Chelsea game, he was a little bit unwell. He still managed to play 65 minutes,' Silva added.
