Gabriel Agbonlahor: Howe should take the Manchester United job, but only with full control

Former Premier League star Gabriel Agbonlahor has offered his advice to Eddie Howe, who could potentially take over as Manchester United manager.

Gabriel Agbonlahor discussed Manchester United's situation on talkSPORT: "The problem right now is that Carrick benched Bruno Fernandes, and you can see how poorly the team is still playing."

"I saw Bruno Fernandes 'like' something on social media earlier, and there was a subtle hint about loyalty in it."

"They all know that continuing with Carrick is no longer an option. He has to go. But if I were Howe, what position would I be in?"

"You absolutely have to take the job, and I mean, I would take it. But here's the thing: I'd want the kind of control Emery has at Aston Villa. I'd want complete control."

"I'd want them to guarantee that I can sign whoever I want next January. And as for those players who aren't up to it, send them down to the youth academy to train with the kids."

"Give me everything I want, and I'll take the job. If you can't do that, Howe, don't even consider it."
