REAL MADRID star Gareth Bale is planning to expand his upcoming bar Par 59 outside the UK with his sights set on Dubai.

Bale is known as one of the most successful players in modern football after winning four Champions League titles with Real but is now looking to tackle the business world.

According to Propel Info News, the forward's golf bar opens in Cardiff on Friday, March 18 and he is aiming to expand it across the United Kingdom.

The Wales international has linked up with independent Welsh entertainment brand The Depot and is set to open another branch in Bristol later this year.

The 32-year-old is then targeting sites in Exeter, Bath, Newcastle, Southampton, Liverpool, Manchester and Edinburgh.

But the Welshman has even greater ambitions as he wants to go global with Par 59, which will have two nine-hole mini golf courses for customers to enjoy.

The former Tottenham star is targeting a new location in Dubai as he makes his second step into the hospitality venue after opening Elevens Bar & Grill in Cardiff in 2017.

Bale recently said: "I'm thrilled that we're finally able to announce our opening date for Par 59; now all that's left to do is play some golf!”

Founder and managing director of Depot and co-founder of Par 59 Nick Saunders added: “In partnership with Elevens Group LTD, we have been able to transform a city centre site which had previously lain empty since 2016.

"We're really proud of the fact that by working with local suppliers (including Wild Creations, Studio Severn Architects, and Paramount Interiors) we have been able to put revenue back into the local economy during a global pandemic.

"Once open, Par 59 will also provide new employment opportunities for 45 staff.”
