The brother of a Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho aimed a dig at Cody Gakpo before Liverpool's draw with West Ham.

The Reds' title hopes took yet another dent as there were held to a 2-2 draw by David Moyes' men at the London Stadium.

The result has seen Jurgen Klopp's side go two points behind Arsenal, who take on north London rivals Tottenham on Sunday.

And Garnacho's brother, Roberto' took to social media on Friday to slam the work rate of Gakpo, who has struggled this season.

Roberto posted on X: 'They acc (actually) think this bald (referring to Arne Slot) can make Gakpo run faster.'

Since arriving at Liverpool in January 2023, Gakpo has been used as a central striker, out wide and as a creative player in midfield.

He has shown flashes of brilliance but struggled for consistency, with six goals and four assists in 32 Premier League appearances this season.

Roberto also targeted Liverpool and Jamie Carragher earlier this month after the Reds' suffered a 3-0 defeat against Atalanta earlier this month.

His latest post came  after it was revealed Liverpool had reached an agreement with Feyenoord to make Slot their new manager next season to replace the departing Jurgen Klopp.

The Merseyside club have agreed a compensation package for Slot to succeed Klopp, with Mail Sport reporting on Friday morning that figure could reach up to £9.42million.

The agreement also is expected to include a move for Slot's right-hand man Sipke Hulshoff, who has done a secondment at the Netherlands national team, and head of performance Ruben Peeters.
