Gary Neville publicly called for the Glazer family to sell Manchester United immediately on "The Overlap" program. He stated that the club is in debt, has seen no investment in stadium infrastructure for years, and is now planning to borrow £2 billion for a new stadium without a clear plan, while the club's football performance over the past 13 to 14 years has been disappointing.
Gary Neville said: "The Glazer family must sell Manchester United now. Enough is enough, really. The club is in debt, you haven't invested a penny in the stadium, and now you're trying to borrow £2 billion to build a new one without even a clear plan of how to do it."
He also criticized the Glazer family for failing to take responsibility for the club's prolonged football struggles: "You have failed at football operations for 13 to 14 years. Now you've handed the club over to others to manage, which is absurd, and you yourselves haven't taken any responsibility."
