German Football Association President Neuendorf responded to Balogun's red card probation during an interview.
Neuendorf stated: "We have taken note of FIFA's response." He is also a member of the FIFA Council.
He continued: "My position is consistent with that of the European football associations : this matter cannot simply be filed away and left unresolved. However, further discussions between the European football associations are currently needed first."
According to Bild, sources within UEFA believe that if a complaint is filed with the FIFA Ethics Committee requesting an investigation into Infantino's alleged interference with the competitive order of the game, the chances of success are not high.
The reason is that, given that multiple investigations into related issues have been suspended or withdrawn in the past, a complaint is unlikely to yield results. Furthermore, if Infantino is acquitted again, it could further solidify his position.
