Local time on June 9, according to Bild, the German Football Association also air-shipped its turf manager to the FIFA World Cup training camp.

The German team has completed its first two training sessions at the FIFA World Cup training camp in Winston-Salem, and one of the focuses of external attention is the condition of the main training pitch.

From the on-site situation, the turf appears somewhat dull and dry, with some areas having been previously patched. The local hot and humid climate has, as expected, affected the quality of the turf. After the first training session on Monday, signs of damage were already evident on the pitch, with even scattered pieces of turf being kicked up.

Sebastian Bräuer, the German Football Association's dedicated turf manager, led a small team to thoroughly inspect the natural grass pitch after the training session. Before the training began, the pitch had been specially watered to ensure the condition of the turf.

It is understood that, in order to maintain the quality of the turf, staff have even started using equipment such as heating lamps for maintenance.
