Goals from Serge Gnabry and Kai Havertz put Germany on course for victory but Lucas Alario and Lucas Ocampos struck back.
Match Events
Lucas Ocampos scored his first senior international goal as Argentina pulled off a late fightback in a 2-2 draw with Germany, who let slip a two-goal lead in a game they dominated for an hour.
After Serge Gnabry skilfully put the hosts in front, Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz swept home Die Mannschaft's second of a game in which Argentina offered very little until substitute Lucas Alario pulled one back in the 66th minute.
15' GOAL! Germany 1-0 Argentina (Gnabry)
Klostermann finds Gnabry in the centre of the penalty area but he has lots to do with bodies around him. He controls superbly, gets around four Argentina defenders, and pokes it into the bottom corner.
22' GOAL! Germany 2-0 Argentina (Havertz)
It's a first international goal for the boy wonder at the end of a lovely move. Waldschmidt wins it in midfield, Klostermann carries it forward, Gnabry crosses from the right and Havertz is there to tap home. Great goal.
31' OFF THE CROSSBAR! Halstenberg nearly scores for Germany!
It's a brilliant left-footed effort, hit powerfully and almost perfectly into the top-right corner, but it cannons down off the underside of the bar and away.
33' CLOSE! De Paul hits the post
The midfielder picks the ball up towards the right of centre, touches it forward and unleashes a rocket of a shot across Ter Stegen, but it hits the bar. That was almost a thing of beauty.
66' GOAL! Germany 2-1 Argentina (Alario)
Acuna delivers a deep left-footed cross from the left flank, and Alario gets away from Koch to flick a header just inside the far post.
85' GOAL! Germany 2-2 Argentina (Ocampos)
The subsitutes combine again, Alario makes a brilliant run from the right, drifting into the centre before laying it off for Ocampos to the left. His right-footed shot toward the near post beats Ter Stegen with a slight deflection off Can.

That was a SUPER COMEBACK We didn't win the Copa America but it gave us a squad who can compete with any team , some more time , the team will evolve , there will be a connection with Messi and then an international trophy will definitely come to Argentina Stay positive 😊😊

Gnabry will be class, I shouldnt have doubted this guy when he was at Arsenal he is the real deal... Arsenal really sold this guy to put faith in Nelson who's worse, massive mistake that will cost them...

Argentina is good without Messi let them use this squad to play any top team in Europe. I think they will abuse this present Argentina squad like a shit.
