Match Events
9'GOAL! Germany 1-0 Netherlands (Werner)
GOAL! Werner gives Germany the lead with a lovely strike! It is a brilliant move from the hosts as Kroos picks up the ball on the left and slides it into the path of Gnabry. 19'GOAL! Germany 2-0 Netherlands (Sane)
GOAL! Sane gives the home side a two-goal lead! Kroos picked the ball up inside his own half and sprayed a beautiful pass into the path of Sane who was just outside of the Netherlands penalty area. Sane took the pass down well, got the ball onto his left foot, and fired his left-footed shot from the centre of the box into the bottom right corner. 2-0.
40' CHANCE! Gnabry's header wide out
62' CHANCE! Werner's shot wide out
78' CHANCE! Depay's shot saved
85'GOAL! Germany 2-1 Netherlands (Quincy Promes)
GOAL! Promes pulls one back for the visitors! Is the comeback on? The home side fail to clear the ball following Blind’s cross from the left. De Jong picks up the loose ball and slots it into the path of De Roon who then finds Promes. The attacker’s right-footed shot from outside the box curls beautifully into the top right corner of the goal. 2-1.
90'GOAL! Germany 2-2 Netherlands (Van Dijk)
GOAL! The Netherlands comeback is complete thanks to the captain! Vilhena’s delivery from the left is not dealt with by Germany and the ball ricochets to Van Dijk who is free on the penalty spot. His right-footed volley from the centre of the box flies into the top right corner beyond Neuer. 2-2.
Match Report
Monday's result means that the Netherlands will join Portugal, England and Switzerland in next June's finals after they topped Group A1.
The away side needed to avoid defeat to Joachim Low's side to guarantee their place in the semi-finals, and first half strikes from Timo Werner and Leroy Sane appeared to be enough to see them off on the night.
However, late goals from Quincy Promes and Virgil van Dijk stunned the Germans, and France, as the Dutch surged through into the next stage.
The Oranje had been heavily tipped to go on and make the final four after an impressive Nations League campaign that saw them beat Germany at home in October and France away last Friday.

Very good job by the Dutch. They can also book good results against strong opponents and being under pressure. Oranje kept believing in themselves and behaved quite mature despite being a very young team. Respect also for the coach. Germany used to score against Oranje in the last minute now it was the other way around. Forza Oranje 🍀🍀🍀

German were dominant and created chances at will ... only weak link Olin team is kherer on RWB position, his decision making is aweful Kimmich needs to return there and one good CDM who can stay alongside Kroos is needed... in this match low made mistake by removing all of the pacy attackers and replace them which diminished chance of counter and allowed Virgil to move up front ... German attackers need to put end to games like this by taking chances they simply cannot loose matches they control only to a team that has 1-2 shots both on target and Neur being ordinary (though goals were not his mistakes but earlier he made unbelievable save)..

Credit to the Dutch for the fighting spirit, and it's better to see them there instead of France, but their performance tonight wasn't deserving of the result. Anyways, I do hope either they or England win the finals
