Gimenez: How Modric was able to skip traditional sing-song as new signing

Santi Gimenez has revealed how Luka Modric joined AC Milan with gifts in hand.

The Croatian great has been superb since joining Milan from Real Madrid over the summer.

And Modric was able to settle quickly thanks to his teammates, as Gimenez revealed.

He said,  "As soon as he arrived, he gave a new phone to every player.

"We arrived in the locker room and everyone had their new iPhone in their place. He gave it to us.

"When you arrive at a new team you should  you should sing in front of everyone, but he decided to buy everyone a phone."
