Gimenez: I really liked Lampard when I was a kid, I loved that Chelsea

Jose Maria Gimenez has done little to quell the rumours that he could move to Chelsea this summer.

The Atletico Madrid centre-back was on the programme 'Cambio de Banda' with team-mates Santiago Arias and Hector Herrera and he revealed just how much he enjoyed watching the Blues when he was growing up.

"I really liked Frank Lampard when I was a kid," Gimenez said when asked who his idol was.

"In Uruguay, they played the Premier League early in the morning and I always watched it, I loved the way he played.

"I would have liked to play with him, I loved that Chelsea."
