This week, Chelsea winger Gittens spoke to the media about his fitness and his goals for the new season.
When asked whether he had been told he was part of Alonso's plan, Gittens replied: "Yes. He wants me to stay positive, dribble on the field, keep creating chances, and push myself to the limit."
Regarding his physical condition, Gittens said: "I'm 90% recovered. It was a difficult process because it was my first muscle injury. Now I feel much better, and my hamstring is recovering well."
"I want to succeed here, and I need to show people what I can do. I've already shown some of that, and I believe this season will be a great one."
