Manchester United could let the Portuguese star go to Serie A and the owners would be willing to pay part of his salary.
The Cristiano Ronaldo summer sage at Manchester United has still not reached its end. In fact, it may just be another chapter to be turned to.
Where next for Ronaldo?
Despite the fact that in recent days, coach Erik ten Hag has pointed that he expects to have the Portuguese forward at his disposal for this season, there are still strong indications that he is closer to his departure from the English team.
There are many teams that have sounded like a possible destination for Ronaldo, with Champions League football seen, by him more than anyone, as a fundamental part of his DNA. United can’t offer him that this season but the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Atlético Madrid, Sporting Clube, and others have reportedly pondered the idea, or at least been given the option. None came to anything.
Now, with just a few days left in the transfer market, Napoli from the Italian top flight may be able to offer a way out for all parties concerned. The Serie A club is could benefit from United’s interest in signing Victor Osimhen, and could use Cristiano in the deal.
According to media in Italy, United’s offer could stretch to $119 million for Osimhen, and the English club’s owners, the Glazer family, are willing to contribute a significant part of Ronaldo’s salary in Italy, after negotiating with the his agent, Jorge Mendes.
However, according to the Napolés outlet ‘Il Mattino’, Aurelio De Laurentis, the club president, has set clear conditions, among which Manchester United would have to pay the entire salary of the Portuguese star, something that they reportedly would be willing to do since he is not moving to a direct rival in the Premier League. interestingly, if this deal was to happen, Ronaldo would be in line to face United’s biggest foes, Liverpool, in the Champions League group stage.
How much is Cristiano Ronaldo's salary?
According to the prestigious Forbes magazine, Cristiano Ronaldo earned a total of $60 million dollars with Manchester United last year, not counting the $55 million dollars he received from sponsorships.
Duncan Castles, writing in The Times, revealed that the clause that reduced his salary if the club did not finish in the top four last season irked the former Juventus striker.
Despite everything mentioned, it is not so easy for Cristiano to leave United, since the youngest of the Glazer brothers, owner of the club, wants Ronaldo to stay, although Erik ten Hag is receptive to the idea to lose the striker.

I am tired of the Ronaldo saga. if he really wants to go let him leave to Napoli. what a shame as Ronaldo has reduced himself to Napoli. a club that can never win the champions league at its current state or even the league. Even for Napoli to make it to the next round of the champions league is serious doubt. Let him leave and fulfill his selfish ambition of playing in the champions league, scoring a few goals and eventually dropping to the Europa league after the group stage and being eliminated at the knock out stage of the Europa league for. Napoli can not win even the Europa league. There is also a serious doubt that Napoli will make it to next season(2023/2024) champions league which only means he will have to leave once more while watching united rise to glory. CR7 you have had a glorious career don't make it to end in shame.

Napoli seems serious for Ronaldo. It cn happen. The man really wants UCL football...though he can't win UCL with Napoli not even in a million years. Am sure it's abt keeping the UCL record safe, especially from Messi.
