Manchester United's glum stars reported for training on Monday to face the wrath of furious manager Erik ten Hag in the aftermath of their 7-0 drubbing by Liverpool.

Beaten 5-0 by Liverpool last season, United's stars were then given the day off by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - but there was no such hiding place on Monday at Carrington.
Ten Hag, according to the Manchester Evening News, arrived at 7am to prepare to see his players two hours later as Casemiro, Alejandro Garnacho and David de Gea, who covered his face from cameras, led the miserable stars arriving.

It was a disastrous display for Erik ten Hag's side, who actually started the match reasonably well in the first half and were unfortunate to see themselves behind at the break following Cody Gakpo's opener. Just moments before Casemiro had a goal chalked off for off-side.
But the second 45 might go down as one of the worst in Premier League history as United conceded twice within five minutes and completely lost their heads. Gakpo, Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah all got two goals apiece before Roberto Firmino grabbed the seventh to compound a shellshocked United's misery.
United sources say the players were always scheduled to report at 9am at Carrington for recovery sessions and a morning training session.
But the post-mortem following the result will no doubt be held today and throughout the week ahead of the Europa League last 16 first leg with Real Betis on Thursday. United then face Southampton at Old Trafford in the Premier League fixture on Sunday.

Fun Fact: -Arteta has never lost by conceding more than 5 goals in his 4 years managing Arsenal -ETH has already lost twice by conceding 5+ goals in his first 8 months managing Man United

Spain also enjoyed a 7-0 win in the WC and got out of the race. Germany won 7-1 vs Brazil in 2014 and got of WC 2018 and 2022 from 1st round.... All those are agony of fate.... Liverpool this time will suffer a shameful exit from next UCL...

That's life. Never back down just bcos one thing in your life didn't go well. I got my 4th year results at college, they were but though I went thru to 5th year with them. I felt bad, almost cried. My friends had far better results... I had to move on. I had to work harder in 5th year and hope for the best next time. Man U shd move on. There is still a season, and a lot to play for. Guess what, next time, or after nxt time, they will beat L/pool. Maybe by one goal difference, maybe 2. It might not be by 7 goals. But a win is a win. That's life. Am not a fan of Man U, I actually mocked the ones I was watching the match with but here wishing them the best. They will rise. They have already risen actually. That was just a minor bump on the way. Good things coming.
