Anthony Gordon has completed his big-money move from Newcastle United to Barcelona.
Gordon was heavily linked with Bayern Munich, but LaLiga champions Barca stole in this week to get ahead of the Bundesliga giants and swoop for the England international.
Barca will reportedly pay €80m (£69.3m) to sign the 25-year-old, who has penned a five-year deal at Camp Nou.
"I owe this club a lot because, when I arrived, I was quite lost both in life and in football," Gordon told Newcastle's official website.
"The club has given me a sense of belonging and a sense of identity. It's allowed me to do what I always thought I could do. It's put me on the biggest stage and allowed me to perform for the shirt.
"Since coming to the club, I feel I've improved a lot on the pitch, but this club has played a big part in the person I've become over the last three-and-a-half years.
"It was really important for me to leave this place in a good way because I've loved every single minute of being a part of Newcastle United. This is an incredible club and one that I'll never forget. I'll be a fan for the rest of my life."
Gordon joined Newcastle from Everton in January 2023.
He went on to make 152 appearances for the Magpies. In the time he was at the club, only Dan Burn (153) and Bruno Guimaraes (155) played more for Eddie Howe's team across all competitions than Gordon.
The attacker's tally of 60 goal involvements, meanwhile, trails only Alexander Isak (68).
Gordon's 39 goals came from 44.1 expected goals (xG), while his 21 assists came from 19.7 expected assists (xA) and 177 chances created.
He scored 10 goals in the Champions League in 2025-26, becoming just the second Englishman to reach double figures for goals in a single campaign in the competition, after Harry Kane in 2024-25.
Barca are re-shaping their attack after the departure of Robert Lewandowski, with the Blaugrana also targeting Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez.
Gordon's fellow England international, Marcus Rashford, spent the season on loan at Barca, and is reportedly keen to make the move permanent.
Before linking up with his new club, Gordon will hope to help England to World Cup glory. He has been named in Thomas Tuchel's Three Lions squad.

Still Barca couldn't trigger 30m for Rachford. There's something they are not telling us.
What's your problem with Rashford? Barca never promised they'd trigger the buy clause so stop acting like they're going against a promise and chill let's see what will happen.

So it's not even 70, but €80M? 😲 In any case, Gordon, you're welcome to FC Barcelona.

At this point, Rashford should know that he is not valued by FCB
