Graham Potter has been assured by co-owner Behdad Eghbali that he has a long-term future as Chelsea manager.
Potter, who succeeded Thomas Tuchel in September, has seen his side slip to eighth after three successive losses.
Nevertheless, the 47-year-old has declared he is 'even more confident' than when he was appointed that he and his employers share the same long-term vision for success.
Potter jetted to California during the World Cup to meet up with Eghbali, the most significant investor behind chairman Todd Boehly.
The club's American owners had been quick to lose confidence in Tuchel, but Potter felt able to make a public declaration that he was here to stay.
'I'm even more confident, even more aware of the support I have now than three months ago when I took the job,' he said. 'It's a credit to them and how they have communicated with me, it's been fantastic.
'We all know the pressure and demands at this club, but we have also got enough people who can see the perspective and where we are at to be able to say, "This is where we are, how can we improve?"
'I'm really looking forward to the weeks, months and years ahead. We understand where we are at and the challenges.'
Potter was accompanied to the US by wife Rachel. 'She's thinking about what a wonderful time we're having and I'm staring into the Pacific thinking about Chelsea,' he added.
'Thankfully she's been with me long enough to know that's how it is.'

It always doesn't turn out the way we've hoped. Chelsea won the UCL without that long Vision but Mancity nand PSG failed with their long Vision. Im saying we have quality players which needs a Proper manager to get the best out of them.

The very fact that Potter has been avoiding the inclusion of Koulibaly, and is trying to pick good technical players like Lewis Hall, Chukwuemeka and Hutchinson makes me much more confident in his managerial ability. Hope the club backs him.

Some of us fans will not learn, why should we sack potter and get Henrique, that's bullshit, to come and play only possession football that is slow and boring without the right players... Please I will gladly leave potter there, cos I see nothing in that henrique... He's not so special, even if he comes, he still needs time to adjust, why not allow the one there to finish it at once... Let's be patient first and trust what the new owners have for our club....

I'm sure we'll see Nkunku play at LWB too like Trossard and Sterling have done. The players have to learn to adapt to different roles for the benefit of the team. If they don't want to put team interests over their own, they can leave.
