JACK GREALISH is reportedly set to lead a purging of the Manchester City squad in the summer.
Pep Guardiola is set to cull his squad in the summer after a disappointing season.
Manchester City were dumped out of the Champions League on Wednesday night by Real Madrid.
The European failure has followed an exit from the Carabao Cup and a lacklustre defence of the Premier League title.
The club's only hope of silverware this season is in the FA Cup with a 5th round tie against Plymouth Argyle on March 1.
The Cityzens splashed the cash in January with high-profile arrivals of Omar Marmoush, Nico Gonzalez, Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis.
But come the summer transfer window, the club will be looking to trim down the squad.
The Daily Star have claimed that EIGHT former title winners would be on their way out of the club.
This includes the likes of Grealish, Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, John Stones, Mateo Kovacic, Ilkay Gundogan and Ederson.
Kyle Walker is also expected to leave on a permanent deal when he returns from his loan spell at AC Milan.
All of the players are aged 30 and over, which would suggest Guardiola is keen to add more youth to his squad.
As the current season is nearly a write-off for the club, Guardiola must prioritise the future.
The Spaniard will be expected to put faith into the four January arrivals in order to bed them in before next season.
However, this must be balanced with results on the pitch with the club still not guaranteed a Champions League spot for next season.
Man City have already signed Juma Bah from Real Valladolid and loaned him to RC Lens until the summer.
The club has also been tipped with an interest in Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz and Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso.

It look Like the whole football world expecting city should be at their best for the 50 years and keep wining trophies every season, It look like City is the only football club who have been at top level of football and suddenly facing crises, Tell me which football club in Europe or in this world who at certain level they didn’t decline?.. We have clubs In the EPL, and other parts of Europe who have been doing rebuilding, laying off players, coaches, bringing in new players, news coaches for years just to win league cup, till now some of these clubs are still haven’t won any trophies in the last decades, some have changes coaches and bought players for rebuilding and only won one league trophy or few trophies. Look at Pep City what they have done within the last 8 seasons, the new EPL records, the back to back trophies, the consistency… having one bad season, they whole football world is acting like this something new, Great clubs who have been at their best for years, will surely decline along the line, is normal. There is No cause of alarm, most of these rivals and the so called pundits are all bashing Man City and Pep, I can understand them, Pep have sit on their happiness for long, and some of the pundits said his style of football won’t work in the EPL, he came to EPL and conquer, he put his doubters to shame, so is obvious at this moment Pep is going through crises they will all use this opportunity to bash him. We live in a world that people are not willing to talk about your success, but they are quick to loud about your failure. You can succeed millions times and fail one time, people will mute about all your success and only talk about your failure. In pep we trust, He will bounce back stronger next season. The track records are there to speak for him. Let them laugh and say what ever they want. We are CITY, we are still better than most clubs, despite our struggle this season. Me personally I take it normal, we have been happy for the joy these group of players brought to us for the past seasons, so many clubs have been in sorrow for decades yet they still hoping for better seasons to come, one bad season in the last 10 years doesn’t makes me feel sad, it pains to lost, but if you understand football, you see it as normal. those who don’t understand football, will be over reacting and saying all kinds of stuffs. For sure many players at City need to move on, Next season, massive rebuilding, we are not expecting to be at our best next season, we still have to be patience for the next two seasons. CITIZEN FOR LIFE.
