Griezmann and Suarez tied on 19 goals as they prepare to face former teams

The LaLiga Santander clash between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid on Saturday will be huge in the title race and two players who will be hoping to make the difference are Antoine Griezmann and Luis Suarez, both tied on 19 goals.

Griezmann and Suarez are facing the unusual situation of going up against their former teams on Saturday, with the irony being that they have both enjoyed their best days with the other team, rather than the one they currently represent.

Griezmann is the fifth highest scorer in Atletico Madrid's history, whilst Suarez sits third on the equivalent list for Barcelona.

With that being said, both players have tallied 19 goals this league season, and a goal from either of the two on Saturday has the potential to be decisive in the title race.

Interestingly, all of Suarez's goals have come in LaLiga Santander this season, whereas the Frenchman's are split with 12 in LaLiga Santander, two in the Champions League, two in the Supercopa de Espana and three in the Copa del Rey.

Griezmann's strikes have come across 47 games, while Suarez has hit 19 from just 34 appearances.

Yet it's the Frenchman who comes into this match in slightly better form as he has been scoring in recent weeks, whereas Suarez had been out injured and hasn't netted since returning.
