On August 24, according to The Guardian, after successfully signing Bouaddi, Man City will continue their pursuit of Enzo.
Man City have reached an agreement with Lille to sign Moroccan midfielder Ayoub Bouaddi for a fixed transfer fee of 95 million euros (approximately 81.4 million pounds), plus a maximum of 5 million euros in add-ons. Earlier in the summer window, Man City had already signed Elliot Anderson for 116 million pounds. With Bouaddi’s arrival, Man City’s total transfer spending this summer will approach 200 million pounds.
The 18-year-old midfielder was previously left out of Lille’s Ligue 1 squad for the match against Angers and will now undergo a medical examination arranged by Man City. The transfer is expected to be officially completed within days.
Bouaddi primarily plays as a No. 6. During this summer's World Cup, he represented Morocco in 6 matches, starting 5 of them, including the 0-2 quarter-final loss to France. It was only his 8th appearance for the national team. In the October 2023 Europa Conference League group stage, at just 16 years and 3 days old, he made his first-team debut for Lille, becoming the youngest player in the history of the competition.
It is reported that much of the funding for Bouaddi's signing came from the 65 million pound transfer fee from Rodri's move to Barcelona last week.
Since Anderson can play as both a No. 6 and a No. 8, Bouaddi may not immediately feature in Enzo Maresca’s starting lineup. Man City reportedly remains very interested in Chelsea midfielder Enzo, although Chelsea’s asking price for the Argentine is 120 million pounds, while Man City’s valuation is lower.

Chelsea owners need to be responsible and be careful how to take decision, if you say no your no should be no. Many people take advantage of others base on your weak decision making process. The last time you set a deadline day for all clubs who want to pursue Enzo Fernandez to come in after Friday he will no longer be on the market. Why not you tell Man City directly in their faces this guy is not for sale and remain on your statement?? If you allow Man City to come and buy Enzo no team will take you serious again trust me, meaning no Chelsea players are save under this current leadership anyone can come in and take any player at any time inasmuch they have the money.
Ain't you aware they listed players as Cole Palmer, Jao Pedro, Reece James & the likes untouchable??? Chelsea owners don't stand in the way of players whom thier Heart is not in playing for the club and they know their. So the oeners are doing a fantastic job my friend

I know my man city club very well. nothing can stop it from signing the player it wants, about Chelsea my advice is don't think man city are struggling with Enzo's bid. 120 million euros is a very small cash so, we'll come for you in days so it's better you find Fernandez's replacement before we took him

Chelsea will simply ask for 130 - 150 million and Chelsea will not sell if they cannot replace Enzo in time. Chelsea gave City a chance to sign Enzo and City did not take it
