Bernardo Silva says Pep Guardiola has "changed the way I see football" ahead of the playmaker's departure from Manchester City.
City clinched the FA Cup on Saturday, with a stunning Antoine Semenyo flick sealing a 1-0 win over Chelsea at Wembley.
It is the 20th trophy Silva has won since joining City, and his second of the campaign as City became the sixth team to win both the FA Cup and EFL Cup in the same season.
Silva made his fifth appearance in an FA Cup final, with only Olivier Giroud (six) playing in more among non-British/Irish players (Patrick Vieira and Marcos Alonso also five).
He has ended on the winning side in 89% of his FA Cup appearances for City (32/36). That is the best win ratio of any Premier League player to play 20+ games in the FA Cup since 1992-93.
Guardiola, meanwhile, has won 85% of his matches in the FA Cup (46 wins in 54 games) – that is the best win ratio of any manager to take charge of 10+ games in the competition's history.
Silva will leave City at the end of the current campaign after nine years, and he was full of praise for Guardiola's influence.
"He changed the way I see football," Silva told BBC Sport. "80% of my career was with him as my manager.
"All the things I hoped to achieve were with him. The relationship we have got is very strong with the frustrations and the achievements."
Asked if he believed Guardiola would stay, given recent speculation over his future, Silva added: "I care a lot about Man City. That's his decision.
"It is not for me to comment on that. I wish all the best. I enjoy being with him, having shared all these moments together."
There were just 16 shots in this match (City nine, Chelsea seven), the lowest in an FA Cup final since Wembley re-opened in 2007.
City also became the first team in FA Cup history to play in four consecutive finals in the competition, with this their first triumph since 2023.
Guardiola's side still have a slim chance of completing a domestic treble with the Premier League title, though they are given just an 18.6% chance of pipping Arsenal to the top spot by the Opta supercomputer.
"Very special. I am really happy. Everything about my journey here at Man City was fantastic," Silva said.
"Hopefully, we can still have a small dream that we can fight for the Premier League.
"It is just special for me, being my last season to give them another trophy. Hopefully, not the last one.
"Since I arrived, it has been 20 [trophies], so it is not bad. That was a fantastic goal. In a final, there are no favourites.
"The beginning of the second half, they started really strong. They were putting us under constant pressure, and it wasn't easy."
