Pep Guardiola labelled Erling Haaland's record of scoring 100 Premier League goals in 111 games as "impressive" and "incredible".
The Manchester City forward brought up the milestone during their 5-4 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Tuesday, with Haaland scoring the opener and assisting two further goals.
The 25-year-old broke Alan Shearer's record to become the fastest player to reach triple figures for goals in the Premier League, with the former Newcastle United and Blackburn Rovers frontman doing so in 124 games.
Guardiola hailed Haaland's performance against Fulham and hopes there will be many more goals to come from his striker.
"It's incredible, impressive," Guardiola told Match of the Day when asked about Haaland.
"He was outstanding. He was unbelievable. He made a fantastic goal.
"Hopefully, he's starving hungry to continue with this club to make more and more goals."
Guardiola has now won all 11 of his Premier League meetings with Fulham, the outright best 100% win record a manager has against an opponent in the competition.
Though that record was under threat when the Cottagers almost came back from a 5-1 deficit, with Josko Gvardiol clearing Josh King's stoppage-time attempt off the line.
Although he admitted he was worried heading into the final minutes, he credited his players for holding on.
"I'm so old, and the players don't respect me! They don't have to treat their manager in that way," joked Guardiola.
"It only happens in this league. We played a fantastic game. Listen, there were some really positive things in what we have done. To come here, to score five goals, and the way we played in that first half.
"In the end, it was a question of character, resilience and defence. They did what they had to do.
"Of course, I was concerned. But this will help us in future games. Every game is a new team for some players. You have to make a process to start to correct."
