Man City boss Pep Guardiola has given his reaction after his side's 2-0 home loss to Wolves this afternoon.
City slipped to a shock defeat to hand Liverpool a significant early boost in the Premier League title race.
Giving his take on how the title race now stands, Guardiola said: "It is a lot of points [difference].
"They [Liverpool] don't drop points for many reasons.
"But it is better not to think about that. It is better to think about what is next."
He added: "Today was the day we were not on our level. The previous games were were good.
"The distance is big, Liverpool have not dropped points. Now is the time to come back.
"The results will dictate the situation but we are in October and there's a long way to go."
And Guardiola backed his players to respond, saying: "I know these guys, they can still do it.
"It was a bad day, a bad game. Credit to the opponent - what's happened has happened.
"Most teams that have won in the past don't win the year after. Of course, we want to be close."
Manchester United are next up for the Reds, at Old Trafford on Sunday 20th October.
And after Champions League action away to Genk, Liverpool then take on Spurs at Anfield as they look to carry on their title charge.

still long way to go, liverpool needs to strength their lead by winning continously, if 15 games a row made, gaining 45 points then title is guarentee, but will not if they slip games, main factor for liverpool is to defeat city

Those criticizing him for this results are Senseless.. how many has archeieved what he has archeieved with city in two seasons? most clubs are yet to do that since their inception. City are big rivals and contenders in all tournaments today because of him, so stop all this nonsense.

Pep vs Klopp, Who Is The Greater. Very Hard & Dicey To Wager. You've Gotta be Have To Wait Till The End Of The Season To Determine That, & That Will Only Be Relevant To The Particular Season. Certainly None Is That Any Better Than The Other. Both Have Their Weak, & Strong Points.
