Following Denmark's match against Portugal, several media outlets published an interview quoting Danish forward Højlund as speaking in support of Ronaldo to the Portuguese team. Højlund has since denied making these statements.
The Globe Soccer Awards released an interview with Højlund in which he was quoted as saying: "In the UEFA Nations League match between Denmark and Portugal, I scored for Denmark and celebrated by imitating Ronaldo's iconic 'Siu' celebration.
Later, I explained my celebration: 'I just wanted to send a strong message to the Portuguese national team that if they don't value Ronaldo, there are still many people in the world who appreciate him.'
I made this celebration to pay tribute to my idol, not to mock the opposing team, which demonstrates my long-standing admiration for the Portuguese star."
In response, Højlund stated: "I never said that."

Unfortunately, greater percentage of Cristiano's fans are cowards, they are not able to hold their grounds. You always also see Cristiano himself using the social media account of his sister to attack Messi whenever Messi wins big. What kind of goat hid under the skirt of a woman to attack a man like himself, cowards. Cristiano never had the kind of tough mentality of Messi and is the reason Messi is a better leader, you never see anyone coach or player disrespecting Messi because Messi always respects himself as you see him stepping aside from Argentina national team without anyone forcing him. You will still be surprised that after the insults, embarrassment, disrespect and humiliation you think cr7 will announce retirement but he is a coward he is afraid of what will befall him if dare it. Cristiano fears retirement more than death, but he forgets it will happen sooner or later. A good leader will neve be afraid of what happens when he is absent or retires but a selfish boss will fear to be absent for a moment, because he can't handle seeing another person outshine him. Retiring at the right and appropriate time is great wisdom and sign of leadership quality but taking retirement as a do or die affairs shows how shallow, timid, immature, insecure, petty and lack of emotional toughness you are, it is a sign of cowardice. Cristiano has once again exposed himself and has finally helped Messi to cement himself as undisputed greatest player in history.

You guys forgot that your so called Messi once announced his retirement from international duty after failing to win Copa America but still came back to international, you should be ashamed of your self and know what to say please
what are you smoking? Messi didn't leave because of beefing with management or sitting on bench, he left because he thought he gave it all and he was unlucky, the coaches and teammates didn't want him to, unlike egoist Ronaldo
