Habib Beye’s position as manager of Stade Rennais was a topic of discussion even prior to the start of the Ligue 1 season. Foot Mercato understands that the club’s latest result, a draw to AJ Auxerre (2-2) on Sunday, puts his position under increased threat.
Rennes currently sit ninth in Ligue 1 with 11 points. However, the Breton club have drawn each of their last four league games. Those draws have come against Auxerre, Le Havre AC, RC Lens, and FC Nantes. Three of those teams hover around the relegation zone, and the draw against Lens came despite Jonathan Gradit’s red card in the 1st minute.
Foot Mercato understands that Rennes’ hierarchy are increasingly displeased with the situation and, in front of the new president of the club’s administrative council, Guillaume Cerutti, they did not enjoy Sunday’s draw against Auxerre.
Post-match, the publication adds, there were talks behind the scenes about hiring a replacement for Beye, whose time at Roazhon Park may be coming to an end.

Rennes has lost only one league game this season, and his position is under threat? Go to England bro where you can lose 10 games and win 1, and you will still be considered a hero.
